From Alaska to Missouri: Meet Arctic Renovations at the Lake of the Ozarks
Moving from Alaska to Missouri is a pretty big change. The scenery is different, the summers are definitely different, and lake life has a different meaning. But for Arctic Renovations, one important thing did not change: the way we believe a homeowner and their home should be treated.
Arctic Renovations was founded in Chugiak, Alaska in 2023, backed by more than 25 years of construction experience. Today, we are proud to bring that experience to the Lake of the Ozarks and serve homeowners throughout Camdenton, Osage Beach, Sunrise Beach, Laurie, Gravois Mills and surrounding Missouri communities.
We may be newer to Missouri, but we are certainly not new to construction, painting and remodeling.
What Alaska Taught Us About Taking Care of Homes
Working in Alaska gives you a healthy respect for preparation.
Weather, temperature changes, moisture and everyday wear can expose shortcuts quickly. Whether you are painting a room, installing flooring or replacing a door, doing the prep work correctly matters just as much as how the finished project looks.
That philosophy came with us to Missouri.
Our goal is not simply to make something look good on the day we finish. We want to help homeowners make practical improvements that fit the way they use their homes and hold up to everyday life.
That can mean refreshing a home with new interior paint, updating worn flooring, remodeling a kitchen, replacing older windows and doors, or tackling a list of repairs that has been waiting for the right time.
Getting to Know Homes at the Lake of the Ozarks
One of the things we are enjoying most about moving to Missouri is getting to know the homes and communities around the Lake of the Ozarks.
Every property is a little different. There are full-time residences, older homes ready for updates, lake properties that have seen years of Missouri weather, and homes that simply need a fresh look after changing owners or lifestyles.
Arctic Renovations provides interior and exterior painting, flooring installation, kitchen remodeling, general home renovations, window and door installation and a variety of repair and improvement services.
We also work with local real estate professionals and homeowners on inspection-related punch list items before a property is listed, before closing or before a new owner moves in.
If it is something we can improve inside a home, there is a good chance we can help with a similar project in an office, store or other commercial property as well.
A Different Climate, but Plenty of Projects to Tackle
Alaska and Missouri certainly do not have identical climates, but both are good reminders that your home has to deal with more than what happens inside four walls.
Missouri summers bring heat and humidity, while fall and winter can make older windows and doors much more noticeable. Drafts, aging seals, difficult sliding patio doors and older windows can all become projects homeowners start thinking about as cooler weather approaches.
That is one reason window and door installation is an important part of what we offer. We can help with window replacements, interior door changes and sliding patio door replacements as part of a larger renovation or as individual home improvement projects.
Exterior projects matter too. Fresh exterior paint and properly maintained surfaces can improve the appearance of a home while helping homeowners stay ahead of normal exposure and wear.
Painting and Remodeling Without Making It Complicated
Home improvement does not always have to mean tearing an entire house apart.
Sometimes the biggest difference comes from a new paint color, freshly painted cabinets, updated flooring, new countertops or replacing a few features that make a home feel dated.
For kitchen projects, Arctic Renovations can help with cabinet painting and refreshing, along with countertop options such as butcher block, laminate and tile. We can also incorporate flooring, painting, trim and other improvements into a larger renovation when the project calls for it.
For broader renovation projects, we work through the project in a practical order. Drywall is finished and primed, painting is completed, flooring is installed and trim follows.
Once an estimate is approved, we contact the client to choose a start date, arrange the deposit and confirm color choices and material options.
Our Alaska Reviews Came With Us
If you have been looking through our website and noticed some familiar Alaska names and locations in our reviews, there is a simple reason for that.

We are new to Missouri, but we did not want to pretend that our history started the day we arrived at the Lake of the Ozarks. Those reviews represent the work, communication and customer service our customers experienced before our move.
Now we are looking forward to building that same reputation here.
Our location changed. Our commitment to doing good work did not.

Peeling Paint and Outdated Rooms Cost Lake of the Ozarks Homeowners More Than They Realise
Peeling paint, chalky walls, and dark outdated color schemes are the most common complaints We hear from homeowners across Camdenton, Osage Beach, and the surrounding lake communities. And these problems don't stay put — moisture infiltration behind peeling paint in a lakeside climate accelerates wall damage faster than most homeowners expect.
Many Lake of the Ozarks homeowners are listing vacation properties or primary residences and know that dated or damaged interiors reduce asking prices. A professionally painted interior signals maintained, move-in-ready condition to buyers—and it's one of the highest-ROI improvements you can make before listing.
